From Farmers’ Market Pop-Up to Beloved Neighborhood Bakery

Manresa Bread is a female-founded bakery led by head baker Avery Ruzicka, a two-time James Beard Award finalist.

What began in 2013 as a farmers’ market pop-up from the kitchens of the three Michelin-starred Manresa Restaurant has grown into five neighborhood cafés across the South Bay and Santa Cruz.

We mill our own organic flours, source locally, and craft sourdough breads, pastries, and coffee with patience and care — creating spaces where community and craft come together every day.

Ingredients Matter

We source directly from the plethora of local growers and purveyors. In California we work with small family-run organic and sustainable farmers for our ingredients including the eggs and dairy in our baked goods and cafe menu.
